Paul has 22 years' experience as a drummer and percussionist, specialising in African drumming since 2000. He has trained twice with Arthur Hull at UK Drum Circle Facilitators Events and studied the use of creative arts in community work.

He has attended numerous Mindfields seminars associated with Human Givens approach to psycho-social interventions and studied the Mental Health Act 1983, conflict resolution and Myers-Briggs Personality Types.

Experience

Paul, initially a meteorologist, worked with the Met Office for 8 years. He has had 2 spells in South America as a charity relief worker. As a qualified social worker he has worked in Hospital and Community settings with various groups including Older People & Adults with Learning Difficulties. He has introduced therapeutic drumming to patients at a Dementia Day Hospital and a residential home. In the last three years he has developed his work as a drum therapist.

Paul will be shortly working at the World Parkinson's Congress, Washington DC with Barry Wakefield, his co-director at Healing Drums - see www.healingdrums.net.
